RoSPA's mission is to save lives and reduce injuries

Welcome to the RoSPA Annual Review 11:12

At the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), we are committed to promoting safety and the prevention of accidents in all areas of life: at work, at leisure, on the road, in the home and in schools. We are a registered charity and have been at the heart of accident prevention in the UK and around the world since our inception almost 100 years ago.

RoSPA's mission is to save lives and reduce injuries

Our mission (to save lives and reduce injuries) and vision (to lead the way on accident prevention) are fundamental in setting our priorities - for our long-term strategic goals and day-to-day operations. They guide how we communicate with our stakeholders (those we work with and for), ranging from multinationals and small/medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to national governments, charities and public sector organisations, as well as the media and members of the public.

We aim to bring about change by promoting key issues and providing services that are relevant, and our varied activities include collecting data, carrying out research, developing policies, informing and educating, auditing, and providing expert consultancy.

The links here provide details of how we achieved our objectives during the 2011/12 financial year in each of our main areas of activity.
