Local Workplace Safety Advice in Northern Ireland

Growing awareness and increased demand means we are now able to offer occupational safety and health training in Northern Ireland. Other occupational safety organisations we link with are:

Northern Ireland Safety Group

The primary objective of the NI Safety Group is “to promote the health and safety of all persons at work and to create an awareness of safety in those entering employment”. As well as their own monthly meetings, they organise conferences and exhibitions, school quizzes, educational seminars and their showcase health and safety awards. For more information visit their website: www.nisg.org.uk.

Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland

The mission statement of the HSE is “to see that the risks to people's health and safety arising from work activities are effectively controlled, thereby contributing to the overall economic and social wellbeing of our community”. They provide training and advice as well as running the Employment Medical Advisory Scheme and their own comprehensive publications scheme. Their main areas of concern are agriculture, construction, general manufacturing, quarries and concrete, small firms, occupational health, shops and offices, as well as offering training and advice to safety representatives. You can contact them on their information advice line on 0800 032 0121 or visit their website at www.hseni.gov.uk.
