ORSA - Occupational Road Safety Alliance

Visit: www.orsa.org.uk
The Occupational Road Safety Alliance (ORSA) brings together employers, trade unions, local authorities, police forces, safety organisations and professional and trade associations. It aims to raise awareness of work-related road safety and to encourage businesses to manage at-work road risk more effectively.
The website acts as a gateway for ORSA members and others in the road safety and occupational safety communities to access current information and developments in these vital areas of road safety.
The Occupational Road Safety Alliance (ORSA) was created on April 29, 2002 at a meeting of 40 organisations which agreed to work together to promote occupational road safety via their respective memberships and key contacts.
ORSA now comprises more than 150 organisations (outside of central government). Its aims are to:
- Facilitate networking between key stakeholders
- Encourage joint working to raise awareness in organisations of the need for action on work-related road safety
- Promote the exchange of information on new initiatives and best practice
- Establish a statement of common goals
- Organise events
- Establish technical co-operation.
