Audits and Reviews

RoSPA offers a range of standard Audits and Reviews to tackle the key areas of health and safety management. Auditing of your Health and Safety Management System using the RoSPA Quality Safety Audit (QSA) system provides an independent assessment of your arrangements and samples specific areas for compliance with legislation. These systems are closely aligned to the most recent HSE guidance and provide help, advice and measurement to assist in the implementation of an efficient and cost-effective health and safety management programme. The Quality Safety Audit (QSA) is a unique system developed by RoSPA to provide a complete health and safety management audit system. QSA is based on the principles of HSG 65 and BS8800 and has been updated to include all parts of the guidance document OHSAS 18001. The system can be implemented into an organisation by one of RoSPA’s highly experienced consultants, or we can train your staff to perform their own QSA audits.	The Quality Environmental Audit (QEA) system is similar is structure to QSA, but audits an organisation’s environmental management system. The RoSPA Health and Safety Review (HSR) is designed to provide an overall review of your general management systems and offer guidance on legal compliance.

Going Public on Performance Securing confirmation of your organisation's level of health and safety performance and reporting on this to your stakeholders is becoming ever more important to overall business success. We can help you meet this challenge with a new mentoring service which: Maximises your chances of securing recognition of your performance via an appropriate RoSPA Award Advises on future priorities and targets Helps you report publicly on your policies, performance and targets. Many organisations fail to secure Awards at the level they might because of inadequate evidence packages. RoSPA's consultants can help you ensure that your submission has been properly prepared - although adjudication is independent of RoSPA consultancy. They can suggest options for future corporate priorities and targets and advise on preparing a performance file (verified by RoSPA) for your organisation's annual report, its website and tender documentation. They can also facilitate one-to-one performance benchmarking and completion of other Health and Safety Performance Indices or assessment schemes.

Managing Occupational Road Risk (MORR™) Linking together the two key areas of road and occupational safety management, RoSPA is able to provide a unique form of consultancy to assist with occupational road risk. Many employees spend a great deal of time behind the wheel and effectively controlling the risks to which they are exposed is essential. RoSPA has taken the lead in developing an approach to managing risks on the road.

Accident Investigation and Expert Witness
It is vital that all the important lessons are learned if you are unfortunate enough to have a serious accident within your organisation. RoSPA are experts in the investigation process and you can be assured that we will explore both immediate and underlying causes with a very careful appraisal of management performance.

RoSPA can act as expert witnesses across all areas of occupational health and safety and regularly presents evidence in court. With consultants experienced in both civil and criminal proceedings you can be confident of a highly professional, independent and unbiased approach.

With current moves towards the integration of management systems, RoSPA has expanded its consultancy service to include the environment.
