Quantitative Environmental Audit

The Quantitative Environmental Audit is an independent, bench-marking audit for environmental issues. Whether you need to prepare for ISO 14000 accreditation or simply maintain and develop systems in line with the principles of continuous improvement, QEA will help.
QEA will help you to develop and assess environmental management systems within your organisation. It is a performance measurement tool that stimulates continuous improvement, and therefore encourages best practice and not just minimum standards.
RoSPA developed QEA in response to the increasing demand for environmental issues to be audited.
The RoSPA Quality Safety Audit (QSA) is already recognised as the leading industry standard for a safety management system, and the new QEA incorporates all the rigour of QSA, applied to the key environmental management issues of the day. RoSPA’s Environmental Consultants have developed the audit, working closely with organisations for whom environmental systems are an integral part of operations. This followed extensive research by RoSPA, which ensured that all the important areas of environmental systems management were covered by the audit.
The system is based on ISO 14001, 14004 and 14031. It will be particularly suitable for those organisations wishing to extend their expertise in managing health and safety issues to the successful management of the environment.
Areas of Risk Control covered within the Quality Environmental Audit include:
- Waste management and waste minimisation
- Emissions to air
- Ground and ground water protection
- Surface water management
- Energy and utility consumption
- Environmental emergencies
- Protection of environmentally sensitive areas
- Product/service stewardship
