All Terrain Vehicle (AVT) Quad Bike Safety Training On-road and Off-road Combined
| Course designed for: Professional and Domestic users of Quad Bikes Course objectives: To increase understanding of safety and awareness of the capabilities and idiosyncrasies of an extraordinary vehicle now road legal and being used increasingly in the public sector. Course content: • Familiarisation with the machine, its controls and how it works • Basic machine safety checks for present and developing faults • Parking the machine safely and securely • Correct braking techniques • Machine handling and safe road-riding skills • Hazard awareness, road presence understanding and communication skills in traffic • Riding ATVs, forward and reverse, on unstable surfaces up and down hills, including traversing • Transportation of loads, equipment and the ATV itself on a trailer • Certification and accreditation for on-road and off-road safe use |
