Defensive and Advanced Driving and Riding Courses
 Who should attend?Business and professional drivers and riders whose role exposes them to a higher than average risk, and those who wish to develop their defensive driving skills in preparation for RoSPA’s Advanced Driving or Riding tests. These courses are also appropriate for immediate response drivers in both the public and private sectors. What will they learn? Delegates learn the theory and practical aspects of advanced and defensive driving or riding via the combination of an interactive theory workshop, a vehicle and rider performance audit and a practical riding session. This prepares them for the Advanced tests that take place on the final day of the course.

Course content includes: ● General and specific local causes of accidents ● Appreciation of the affect of human factors (i.e. attitude, fatigue etc) on performance ● A systems approach to pre-use vehicle checks ● Improvement of observations and awareness of potential risks on the road ● Hazard management and risk reduction in preparation for RoSPA’s Advanced tests.
