The Goods Vehicles (Licensing of Operators) Act 1995 was
designed to implement EC Directives 96/26EC and subordinate
legislation with regard to the occupation of road haulage
operations.The regulations state that an operator who seeks a
standard National Licence MUST satisfy the Licensing Authority
that he/she is either professionally competent or employs
someone as a transport managerwho is professionally competent
and is of good repute.
In this context, only an individual person can be professionally
competent and to become this, the personmust pass the CPC
examinations set by the Oxford, Cambridge and Royal Society of
Arts, Examinations Board (OCR).
Course designed for:
Fleet Managers and Owner Operators wishing to gain an O-licence. This course is a prerequisite for those people either needing
or wishing to hold the professional competence qualification
for National Road Haulage Operating Licensing in the UK. The qualification is also suitable for those who wish to become
a TransportManager, or wish to gain a deeper knowledge and
insight into the legislation and operation of road haulage
transport operations.
