RoSPA Scotland Occupational Safety and Health at Work Congress

The way ahead for worker-centred health and safety

September 23, 2010, Hilton Glasgow Hotel, Glasgow

Now in its sixteenth year, the RoSPA Scotland Occupational Safety and Health at Work Congress is a key annual event. The Congress gives delegates a chance to keep abreast of the latest health and safety thinking and research in Scotland.

This year, Congress will focus on worker involvement - a key theme of the current HSE’s strategy “Be part of the solution” launched in 2009. Engaging with the workforce on health and safety-related issues – irrespective of the sphere of activity – is fundamental to the success of the strategy and in tackling the health and safety challenges posed by the world of work.

Leading edge thinking on worker involvement will be presented, building on the wider employee engagement agenda as presented in the MacLeod Review, giving delegates a clear understanding that the creation of positive relationships between employers and employees are key to improving productivity and enhancing working lives.

Amongst our many leads were RoSPA themselves who now stock our range of safety education resources."
