About the client – Safe at Home
Safe at Home, the national home safety equipment scheme, is a Government funded project responsible for the distribution of free home safety equipment to the most disadvantaged families in the UK.
The scheme is managed by a dedicated project team, coordinating more than 130 individual Safe at Home Schemes who deliver the project at a local level.

- One-day conference held in central London, attended by 110 delegates
- Opened with a video address by children's minister Delyth Morgan and Jeanette Pugh, director of the safeguarding group at the DCSF
- Speaker presentations covered practical advice on evaluating the scheme's effectiveness, case studies and key safety issues such as the dangers of blind cords
- Networking opportunities included a facilitated discussion table, during which delegates could share solutions to common problems.
