Home Safety Training & Consultancy in Northern Ireland
Home safety training
From January 1, 2008 to November 25, 2010 there were 31 carbon monoxide related deaths in Northern Ireland alone. (Source: Coroner's Service for Northern Ireland.)
RoSPA NI has worked in partnership with the Health and Safety Executive NI and the "Gis a Hug" Foundation to research and develop a carbon monoxide poisoning awareness workshop. Although the workshop has only been advertised since February 2011, it has already generated a great deal of interest from a wide range of practitioners. The two-and-a-half-hour workshop includes a comprehensive range of information and interactive activities.
Other workshops currently in development and to be launched later in 2011 are:
- Falls
- Blind cord safety
- Child safety for grandparents.
All courses can be tailored to suit your organisation's needs. Our trainer comes to you, or training can be held in the Belfast office providing cost-effective training at your convenience.
At the end of the training up to 20 delegates will receive course documentation and a RoSPA certificate of training.
Optional City & Guilds accreditation is available for tailored training at specified centres.
Previous tailored training clients have included:
- Health boards and trusts
- Environmental health home safety officers
- Community and voluntary organisations
- Not for profit organisations.
