Ways to make Scottish businesses and organisations safer places to work will be explored at a conference organised by The Royal Society for the Prevention of accidents next month. Last year in Scotland 36 people died in work-related accidents and more than 2,700 suffered a major injury. With health problems caused or made worse by work accounting for 2.2 million working days lost each year, the total the bill is said to run to half a billion pounds. Full Story» |

Following his appointment as a Government Whip, Lord Davies of Oldham has stepped down as the President of The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
