Thousands of people will be cooking up trouble for themselves if they don’t take care this Christmas, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents warned today. Hot fat, boiling water and sharp knives are just a few of the things that will make the kitchen one of the most dangerous places to be during the holiday. 12/12/02 : DRIVERS URGED TO “BOOK EARLY” TO BEAT CHRISTMAS BAN

With drink-drive casualties at their highest for more than 10 years, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents today urged drivers to “book early for Christmas” if they don’t want to lose their licence. As the party season gets into full swing, RoSPA said it was vital that revellers arranged transport so that they were not tempted to drink and drive.
