FREE HAZARDS POSTER OFFER FROM RoSPA
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents is offering free posters as part of a new campaign to protect millions of workers who are exposed to dangerous substances.
RoSPA is supporting European Week for Safety and Health at Work by giving two free posters to business and organisations, which buy two publications on the safe handling of chemicals and dangerous materials.
The week begins on October 13 and has Dangerous Substances at its theme.
Roger Bibbings, RoSPA Occupational Safety Adviser, said: “Dealing with chemicals and substances hazardous to health is potentially one of the most dangerous aspects of the working environment. It is essential people understand the dangers in order to prevent accidents and damage to health.
“RoSPA can provide employers with all the information necessary to keep their workers safe. European Week for Safety and Health at Work is an ideal opportunity for organisations to raise awareness about this important issue.”
As well as posters and publications, RoSPA has supporting videos and runs training courses on the control of substances hazardous to health and asbestos awareness.

RoSPA has also produced a series of lesson ideas for four to 16-year-olds that can be used in schools during the week to make them more aware of dangerous substances at home, in school and in the workplace. Here they can be downloaded for photocopying.
