NEW QUALIFICATION FOR SAFETY PROFESSIONALS
RoSPA launches a new course in September offering one of the highest qualifications for health and safety professionals.
The new National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health Level 4 Diploma replaces the existing NEBOSH Diploma 1 and 2 course.
It will provide successful candidates with the academic requirements for corporate membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
The course has been developed in line with national health and safety training standards that were recently launched by the Employment National Training Organisation.
John Phillips, RoSPA Training and Consultancy Manager, said: "Diploma holders will be able to operate effectively and efficiently at a senior level within their organisation.
"The diploma allows professionals to develop their occupational health and safety knowledge and expertise in line with current legislation and HSE guidance, which is pro-active and goal-setting rather than rule-following."
The diploma also prepares them to assist their organisation in the identification and assessment of risk factors and helps in the introduction and management of control measures.
The first RoSPA course begins on September 13, but there are several other starting dates throughout the year. The NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent is needed to enrol on a course. RoSPA will continue to offer the very popular NEBOSH National General Certificate, which is accredited at Level 3 and is the ideal preparation for the new Level 4 Diploma.
RoSPA's NEBOSH course pass rates are consistently higher than the national average.
