RoSPA Press Office : Press ReleaseFebruary 16 , 2006 The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents has launched a new website especially for its members. It includes interactive features such as discussion forums and monthly polls on topical health and safety issues. The RoSPA Member Zone adds to the benefits already enjoyed by organisations and individuals who are RoSPA members, including discounts on resources and training. Errol Taylor, RoSPA Acting Chief Executive, said: “Members play an important part in our work to prevent accidents in all walks of life. Their contribution is valued immensely and the RoSPA Member Zone will give them something extra in return for that support. “We want them to add to the safety debate by taking part in the polls and joining the discussion forums with their colleagues. “They will also be able to ask questions about development and find out about jobs in the health and safety industry. “There are case studies to learn about what fellow members are doing to improve health and safety.” The site is packed with advice about topics such as using the RoSPA Member Information Centre, obtaining discount on products and training, using the RoSPA logo, accessing the members’ directory, free telephone consultancy and e-bulletins. There is also a direct link to the Member Shop. Popular features remain from the previous RoSPA members website, including sections for individual safety areas such as Occupational, Road, Home, Safety Education and Water and Leisure Safety.
