The business is based in Glasgow and employs 64 staff at locations in Scotland, the North West of England and North Wales. It operates 13 workshops, which provide a comprehensive range of services to its customers.

John Parker, ScottishPower Fleet Business Operations Manager, said: “We are delighted to have won this award because we are always striving to improve on safety.”

The presentation was made by Lord Jordan of Bournville, Deputy President of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow, last night.

ScottishPower Fleet Business has won six consecutive RoSPA gold awards for occupational health and safety and has been commended, and highly commended for its work-related road safety record through the award for Managing Occupational Road Risk.

Roger Bibbings, RoSPA Occupational Safety Adviser said: “They are a fine example to business throughout Scotland and the whole of the UK. We want to see other companies following their lead.”
