Occupational Safety and Health

Public Safety Catalogue

Every year in the UK we face the challenge of reducing: about 300 fatalities to workers and members of the public due to reportable accidents at work. 600-750 deaths in work-related road crashes.

Some 12,000 early deaths due to past exposure to hazardous agents, for example asbestos. More than 28.5million working days lost due to work-related accidents (5.1million) and ill health (23.4million).

Our role at RoSPA is to focus our resources in ways which will help to reduce these figures and contribute to sustainable safety change.
