RoSPA

RoSPA's Business Benefits Workshop

  • A unique opportunity to understand the true cost of an accident and its impact on an organisation.
  • A specially developed checklist helps delegates identify a priority risk issue within their organisation e.g. lone working, work-related road safety, manual handling, slips and trips or work-related stress etc.
  • Help is given to present the business case for improving safety once back at the workplace.
  • Delegates who complete the course and are successful in the assessments are awarded a RoSPA certificate.

"When it comes to investing in health and safety, it is not just a case of doing the right thing; it is underpinned by a very strong business case, which becomes even stronger in difficult economic times.

"The reason is very simple: accidents and ill health caused by work impose massive, but largely unrecognised, costs on business and when options for improving the bottom line through increased sales and turnover are more limited, investing in loss control becomes even more important.

"RoSPA's new, added-value IOSH Managing Safely 'Plus' course gives managers and supervisors an excellent grounding in what they need to do to keep their business running smoothly, and keep their teams safe and healthy."

Rob Burgon,
RoSPA's workplace safety team leader.
