Why train for the NEBOSH International Certificate with RoSPA?

If you're looking to gain international health and safety qualifications, you need a name that you can trust. As the UK's leading safety organisation and a registered accident prevention charity, a qualification from RoSPA will stand you in good stead around the globe.

Our expert trainers regularly delivered health and safety courses and consultancy services internationally, so not only do you have the option of attending a NEBOSH International course in the UK's two premier cities, London and Birmingham; there is also the option of training at your own premises.

RoSPA trainers excel in passing on their wealth of knowledge and experience in such a way that delegates not only do well academically, but are also able to translate their results into real, practical advantages in their workplaces.

RoSPA use a delegate-centred approach, which encourages high levels of participation via the inclusion of many and varied learning styles, including workshops, discussion groups and student presentations. We feel that this is particularly beneficial on the NEBOSH International course, where as delegates backgrounds vary there is much to be learned by sharing experiences.

We also have BS EN ISO9001:2000 certification in our training operation.

The business case for NEBOSH International Certificate training

Organisations are increasingly realising the benefits of investing in health and safety training:

  • Safety training contributes towards making employees competent in health and safety
  • It helps businesses avoid the distress that accidents and ill health cause
  • Safety training also helps organisations avoid the financial costs of accidents and occupational ill health including damaged products, lost production, lost man hours, demotivated staff, increased insurance costs, workers' compensation premiums, and legal costs.

NEBOSH (The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) is an obvious choice, as its qualifications are globally-recognised. Couple this with delivery from RoSPA (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents), again an organisation with International standing, and you have a powerful combination.

NEBOSH qualifications attract around 35,000 candidates annually and are recognised by the relevant professional membership bodies including the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).

Organisations are increasingly choosing the NEBOSH International Certificate as it answers the need for a respected, and recognised qualification aimed at managers and supervisors. The syllabus is fully International, drawing on International Standards (OHSAS 18001) and Codes of Practice (International Labour Organisation).

The RoSPA NEBOSH International Certificate course is deliberately structured to minimise travel time and costs as well as time away from work. It runs over a two week block in London or Birmingham and is also available on a residential basis, which includes hotel accommodation for the duration. Alternatively, subject to delegate numbers, our trainer can deliver the course at your own premises. Please see the 'Dates. Prices and Locations' tab for further details.
