NEBOSH Diploma - National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (Level 6)
There were over 12,000 work-related deaths in 2010/11, including 171 fatal injuries. In addition to the non-financial costs of pain, grief and suffering, workplace injuries and ill health (excluding cancer) cost society an estimated £14 billion in 2009/10. (HSE statistics)
Despite this scale of tragedy and loss, companies that are hard pressed, especially during tough economic conditions, may ask quite understandably why they should devote precious money - and even more precious time - to upgrading their health and safety management regimes. But when it comes to investing in health and safety training, it is not just a case of doing the right thing; it is underpinned by a very strong business case.
The NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (Level 6) is the qualification of choice for professional health and safety practitioners, equipping holders for a career in this demanding and rewarding field and ensuring that employers' statutory obligations are met.
This occupational safety training course provides core health and safety knowledge which is transferable across industry, commerce and the public sector.
