Fire Risk Assessment Training Course
This two-day occupational safety training course has been designed with the advice of a senior fire professional specifically to help you comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 which states that it is now compulsory for companies to conduct a fire risk assessment.
The legislation implements a risk-based approach to fire safety in community, industrial and business premises. It requires the responsible person (usually the employer, owner or occupier) to carry out a fire safety risk assessment and implement appropriate fire precautionary and protection measures, and to maintain a fire management plan.
Who should attend?
Facilities managers, health and safety professionals and fire marshals responsible for the practical implementation of the Regulatory Reform Order for their organisation’s safety management system.
What are the learning outcomes?
- A full understanding of the legal requirements for fire risk assessment and costs associated with not managing fires
- The ability to identify typical sources of ignition and how fire spreads
- The ability to conduct fire risk assessments and know how to review them regularly.

Course objectives:
This occupational safety training course has been designed with the advice of a senior fire professional specifically to help organisations comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
Delegates should understand:
- How to carry out fire risk assessments and promote safer working practices within their organisation
- Their role and responsibilities in fire safety management
- How to apply risk assessment principles in practice
- The importance of documentation and record keeping
- How to apply proactive monitoring techniques within their area of responsibility.
Who should attend?
This course is suitable for facilities managers and/or health and safety professionals responsible for the practical implementation of the requirements of the Regulatory Reform Order for their organisation’s safety management system.
Delegates should have fire marshal training and/or facilities management experience.

Qualification:
