| The diverse and varied processes involved in transporting and storing resources are unified by one factor: a high rate of manual handling injury. Indeed,of all occupations, transport and mobile machine drivers and operatives have the third highest rate of musculoskeletal disorders that are caused or made worse by their job. In recognition of this RoSPA has developed a unique course that specifically addresses manual handling issues within logistics. Following fromthe success of our everpopular Manual Handling Trainers and Assessors course, this new course again offers a cost-effective solution that allows you to train a trainer, who can then disseminate the skills around their workplace. | Who should attend? All those working in distribution, retail, warehousing or any part of the logistics process who are responsible for educating others in manual handling. Ideally delegates will have previous training experience and hold a training-related qualification. What will the delegate bring back to the workplace? ● Understanding of the legal and business case for carrying outmanual handling training ● The skills related to knowledge of ergonomics and good handling techniques ● The skills related to knowledge of guidance on how to tackle key handling issues specific to logistics such as pallet loading, off-loading, awkward loads, racking, handling tote boxes, picking and packing activities etc. ● Communication and training skills ● A demonstrable ability to delivermanual handling awareness training to colleagues working within logistics |
