Work related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMSDs) continue to place a significant burden on employers and workforces across Great Britain, accounting for 41% of all work related ill-health. (HSE). The risk and impact of WRMSD can be reduced with appropriate manual handling training and education.

Overview

Designed and developed through consultation with stakeholders, employers and subject experts, the RoSPA Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling in the Workplace is an introduction to moving and handling activities. It is aimed at individuals starting work, returning to work or those who need specific training in manual handling, as well as being a suitable qualification for refresher training.

Learners gaining this qualification will understand that moving and handling must be carried out correctly and will recognise its importance in ensuring a safer working environment
