Safety express

Safety express

Safety express is published bi-monthly in a newspaper style format. It covers health and safety at work for the non-specialist, addressing the important H&S issues that all workers face.

Its 20 pages contain extensive coverage of health and safety prosecutions, new publications and DVDs, training courses, news from trade unions, health news and topical features, plus a competition and cartoon guide to H&S issues.


Care on the Road

Care on the Road is RoSPA’s journal for those who want to keep up to date with road safety developments at home and overseas.

Care on the Road

With a broad readership that includes members of RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders (RoADAR), road safety officers, road safety engineers, professional drivers and fleet managers, police and fire service personnel and teachers, the journal contains news and features.

Walking, cycling, driving and motorcycling are all covered, and there are also updates from RoADAR groups, readers’ letters, competitions, details of recent court cases and a regular legal comment column.

Published bi-monthly in newspaper format, it is despatched to RoSPA’s road safety members, RoADAR members and other subscribers.

Leisure Safety

RoSPA Occupational Safety & Health Journal

Leisure Safety is RoSPA’s vibrant digital journal covering drowning prevention and water safety, as well as wider leisure and play safety management.

Published each quarter, and hosted online, the journal is produced for RoSPA’s leisure safety members, the members of partner organisations and other subscribers. Readers include professionals responsible for water, leisure and play safety management, including those working on beach, inland water, sea, swimming pool and water sports safety and the management of other leisure, play, fitness and sports facilities.

It is packed full of news and in-depth features highlighting activities and developments across the sector, including submissions from guest contributors.

A printed edition of the journal is also produced each year to coincide with the Leisure Industry Week exhibition.

Safety in Education

Safety in Education

Safety in Education is RoSPA’s termly digital journal aimed at those with an interest in health and safety management in schools and colleges (“teaching safely”) and safety education (“teaching safety”).

Hosted online, the colourful journal goes to RoSPA’s safety in education members, members of the LASER Alliance, members of partner organisations and other subscribers.

It contains a balance of news, features and comment on the management of health and safety in schools and colleges, including academies and free schools, and on practical safety education that prepares children and young people to be able to recognise and manage risk, including updates from the LASER Alliance and examples of good practice.

Teachers, head teachers, school governors, safety education practitioners and professionals involved in health and safety management in schools and colleges, such as bursars, are among the readers.

Staying Alive

Staying Alive is RoSPA’s journal covering home safety, product safety and accident prevention in a public health context.

Containing news and in-depth features on the latest developments in these areas from across the UK and overseas, plus alerts about emerging safety issues, the digital journal is hosted online and produced quarterly.

It is produced for RoSPA’s home safety members, the members of partner organisations and other subscribers, with readers including home safety practitioners, children’s workers, police and fire service personnel, health promotion officers, environmental health officers, trading standards officers and public health decision-makers and practitioners.
