Young Driver Safety
Young drivers are more likely to crash and injure themselves, their passengers and other road users than more experienced drivers. However, professional instruction which is supported by private practise can help to prepare young drivers for modern day driving. The young drivers' hub has been written to guide young drivers and their parents through the process of applying for a licence, learning to drive, and after the test.
Young drivers who drive for work face, and create, a higher risk than other drivers because they are inexperienced as drivers and because driving for work is higher risk than driving for other reasons. To help both employers and young drivers RoSPA has produced an interactive workshop which explains the risks; by reflecting on their driving experience young drivers are enabled to develop coping strategies.
