Risk Assessment on Play Areas

The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations requires that managers of playgrounds should carry out a risk assessment of the facility. Children's play areas present a particular problem and this one-day course introduces the philosophy and techniques of risk assessment and includes a practical session on the principles involved.

This course is aimed at those who are responsible for the management, inspection and maintenance of play and wheeled sports areas.

What will they learn?

Attendees will learn the importance of assessing risk, balancing risk against return and understanding in what way the development of a child depends on the provision of play areas and through this, learns to manage risk.

Courses on Clients’ Premises

The provision of a room is required with suitable blackout to enable a PowerPoint presentation to be shown. Access to a playground is required for the practical element of this and it is the client's responsibility to provide the necessary transportation to and from the sites
