Occupational Safety Training

Looking for affordable, reputable occupational safety training?

As the UK's leading safety organisation, RoSPA's wide range of occupational safety training courses reflects our passion, expertise and leadership in the area. In fact, last year alone RoSPA has trained more than 10,000 delegates – many returning again and again.

Our trainers are our biggest asset. Not only health and safety experts – they also know how to engage with delegates to get the very best results.

If you think you can't afford safety training, you certainly can't afford an accident - the financial benefits alone may far exceed the initial outlay for essential safety training, while the focus on employee safety and health demonstrates your dedication to staff welfare.

We set the standards

RoSPA's safety mission includes influencing occupational safety policy and legislation. This unique position allows us to set the standard in training the next generation of health and safety professionals. We do so through a wide variety of courses and a track record of delivering exceptional training results.

What we offer

We offer one of the widest ranges of occupational safety training courses and in-company training in the UK and are one of the leading providers of:

Our results and reputation

RoSPA's highly regarded occupational safety training can help establish and maintain effective and successful safety procedures and strategies. Our focus on the individual needs of delegates and our practical approach to occupational safety training has proved so successful that many organisations go on to engage the skills of our trainers for specialist consultancy projects. We have an increasingly loyal customer base drawn from a wide variety of industry sectors and enjoy excellent results on the NEBOSH, IOSH and BTEC accredited courses we offer, with pass rates being consistently above the national average.

Continuous improvement

RoSPA is committed to continuous improvement and has maintained BS EN ISO9001:2000 certification of its occupational safety training operation.

Continual Professional Development (CPD) Points

CPD Certified

RoSPA's full range of occupational health and safety training courses and informative events have been accredited by the CPD Certification Service as contributing towards Continual Professional Development.

Keeping up with and recording your professional development is a requirement of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health's (IOSH) membership structure. The IOSH CPD scheme is based on self-allocated 'credits' so that you can decide how much an activity is worth to you. Here you can find guidance on the appropriate allocation of credits for IOSH.

CPD also allows you to demonstrate that you're always striving to improve as a professional, which is important as health and safety is not a static profession, with both legislation and best practice changing regularly.

Our charitable status

RoSPA's status as an influential charity keeps us at the forefront of advances in health and safety, and enables a close working relationship with the Government and Health and Safety Executive. By choosing RoSPA as your occupational safety training provider you'll also be helping to support our accident prevention campaigns.

Courses for safety trainers

Train the Trainer

Training others is a skill, but who trains the trainer? At RoSPA we offer a unique range of safety training courses designed to help individuals who are developing their role as a trainer within their organisation.

Our "Train the Trainer" courses are interactive, with opportunities for delegates to practise and discuss ways of handling a variety of training challenges.

RoSPA offers the following "Train the Trainer" courses:

These courses provide a comprehensive foundation for new and existing trainers to confidently pass on knowledge and skills to their colleagues.

Gain 'Course Approval'

Providing that they are delivered internally, RoSPA can approve your organisation's occupational safety training courses. Once approved, courses can then be advertised and delivered under the prestigious 'Approved by RoSPA' banner.

RoSPA course approval is accepted by the National Core Competence Benchmark (NCCB) and will enable you to get your training programme listed on the national benchmark for health and safety allowing you to demonstrate to third parties the level and extent of your courses and gain recognition.
