Guidance on seeking safety solutions |
From time to time lack of resources and/or technical expertise may lead you to consider enlisting the services of an external safety specialist.
Before doing so, it’s worth reviewing the HSE’s guidance document, ‘Getting Specialist Help with Health and Safety’ which stresses the importance of seeking a supplier that:
- Has relevant qualifications and industry experience
- Is a member of a professional body
- Understands what you require and is able to explain how they will help.
|
RoSPA Consultants meet the above criteria, and moreover, will work with you to find practical and sensible solutions that take your business needs into account. We aim to simplify issues, not to overcomplicate and increase your legislative burden.
So, if it’s pragmatic guidance you’re after, call RoSPA consultancy on 0121 248 2076 or email consultancy@rospa.com.

Fall in road deaths - playing your part
|
For the first time in 80 years road deaths have fallen below 3,000 – a significant decrease of 7% in the last year alone.
Kevin Clinton, Head of Road Safety at RoSPA, welcomed the news, in particular the fall in child casualties, as a tribute to all the safety measures which have been implemented. He warned there was no room for complacency, however.
Play your part in reducing road deaths by managing work-related risks among your staff: RoSPA has a variety of solutions to suit you.
Better use of sun - An electronic facility has been set up to petition the Prime Minister to consider a change to the current system of British Summer Time, in support of RoSPA’s campaign to reduce accidents: Click here to join in.
Hands-free phone death driver jailed - A driver talking on a hands-free mobile has been jailed for four-and-a-half years after his lorry ploughed into a van killing a man and seriously injuring two others. He was found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving after Lincoln Crown Court heard he was oblivious to what was going on around him because of the phone call.
Do your company driver policies ban hands-free use? You can ask for a review from RoSPA
