Christmas ‘Novelties’ Warning from Trading Standards |
 Are young children at risk from Christmas novelties? A survey carried out by Trading Standards Officers in the South-West of England suggests that many novelties could easily be mistaken for toys by both children and parents – but more than 60% of them amount to a risk to an unsupervised youngster.

RoSPA Infocentre Feature – Construction Design and Management Regulations ‘In a Nutshell’ |
Welcome to the third feature from the RoSPA InfoCentre, which this month gives you the low-down on the new Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations that are due in force in April 2007.

School Trip Safety – RoSPA Guidance |
 School trips are becoming tamer because of increased costs and fears that teachers will be sued if something goes wrong, according to Government-funded research. The news comes as the Education Secretary unveiled a £2.7 million package to promote learning outside the classroom. Measures include a consultation on guidance for teachers about their responsibilities and tackling concerns about litigation in the event of accidents.
