The Trading Standards Warn You of the Potential Hazards with Christmas 'Novelties' Are young children at risk from Christmas novelties?  A survey carried out by Trading Standards Officers in the South-West of England suggests that many novelties could easily be mistaken for toys by both children and parents – but more than 60% of them amount to a risk to an unsupervised youngster.

School Trip Safety – RoSPA Guidance

School Trip Safety - RoSPA Guidance School trips are becoming tamer because of increased costs and fears that teachers will be sued if something goes wrong, according to Government-funded research.  The news comes as the Education Secretary unveiled a £2.7 million package to promote learning outside the classroom. Measures include a consultation on guidance for teachers about their responsibilities and tackling concerns about litigation in the event of accidents.
