Northern Ireland Cracks Down on Drivers with New Road Safety Penalties |
 Department of the Environment Minister Arlene Foster has announced a range of tough new measures to crack down on people driving dangerously, including higher penalties for drivers not wearing seatbelts and using hand held mobile phones.
These tough new laws will come into force 27 June 2007, with car drivers who use a hand-held mobile phone being liable to receive three penalty points and a maximum fine of £1000. Click here to read the full article.
