Safety & Risk Education

RoSPA's Safety & Risk Education department supports those who work with children and young people to promote safety including: teachers, headteachers, youth and Connexions workers. Also, road safety officers, voluntary groups, charities, emergency services, university staff, students and others, as well as young people themselves.

RoSPA Safety and Risk Education currently have four main campaigns.

Teen Safety and Risk

RoSPA is developing a youth network for teenagers aged 14-19 who want to learn more about how to keep themselves safe on the road, at leisure, in the home or in the workplace. If this sounds like you, find out more about the RoSPA Youth Network by visting the Teen Safety and Risk website

Our other campaigns:

  • Child Safety Education Coalition
    The coalition is a membership organisation hosted by RoSPA in partnership with the National Children's Bureau (NCB) on behalf of the Department for Children Schools and Families (DCSF).
  • AdRisk
    AdRisk is a European project aiming to reduce injuries among young people. RoSPA is the English partner in the project and is co-ordinating a series of exercises to develop a map of injury prevention in England.
  • LASER
    Learning About Safety by Experiencing Risk (LASER) is a powerful interactive approach to safety education that takes place outside the classroom.
