Who should attend?
Those within the social or health care sector who have
responsibility for carrying outmoving and handling risk
assessments. Ideally delegates will have attended the Safer
People Handling Trainers course.
What will they learn?
● The ability to explain and demonstrate the principles of risk
assessment, including relevant legislation and the identification
of hazards and risks in a health or social care setting
● Knowledge of the relevant risk factors and legal requirements
● A thorough understanding of risk reduction strategies
● An understanding of the role of people handling
assessments and documentation
● Knowledge of the appropriate equipment purchase based on
evaluation and assessment
● Knowledge of balanced decisionmaking in the risk
assessment process
How will they be assessed?
On successful completion of the written assessment delegates will be awarded a Safer People Handling Risk Assessment certificate, which is valid for three years. |
