Safety at Beaches and Coastal Locations Training Course

Delegates will gain an understanding of effective safety management strategies for the recreational use of beaches.

Course content includes:

Legal responsibilities of site operators
Drowning causation
Introduction to the principles of water safety management
Risk assessment of coastal water and beach safety sites, including hazard identification and risk control measures
Site-specific drowning prevention strategies
Safety of formal water sport operators and casual water based activity
Procedures and systems for managing supervisory staff and lifeguards
