This course will provide an understanding of effective safety management systems for swimming pools abroad.

Safety officers with responsibility for inspecting swimming pools abroad

Course content includes:

Legal responsibilities of tour operators
Influencing factors in pool facilities
Introduction to the principles of risk assessment, including hazard identification and risk control measures
Safe design and positioning of children’s pool separation
Critical aspects of pool safety e.g. location of signage, siting of rescue equipment, use of water slides and other features
Basic pool water treatment including identification and control of common faults
