European Standards
The European Standard EN1176 is going through a major five-year revision. This is a refresher course for the interpretation of existing EN1176 and provides insight into the changes of the standard due to be published in 2008.
Who should attend?
Those who design and manufacture play areas, health and safety officers, as well as those responsible for overseeing play area installations and annual inspections.
What will they learn?
The amendments to EN1176 and what the changes mean for playground operators and area/equipment designers, manufacturers and installers.
Course content includes:
- Legal background to the standard
- Interpretation of the standard
- Proposed changes to the standard
- Common interpretation problems
- Individual problems with interpretation
This is a one-day course available on clients' premises.

Training for Inspections, Standards and Risk Assessment
One Day Course
This one day training course provides a basic introduction to inspecting and maintaining children's playgrounds. It is designed for staff members who have day-to-day responsibility for playground safety and inspections. This highly visual presentation is ideal for small groups up to fifteen. Basic requirements are for a comfortable room with good blackout. Access to playground for a practical site inspection is required. Course notes and a Certificate of Attendance are provided.
