Advanced Motorcycle Training

Advanced motorcycle training

Instructing riders in the theory and practice of responsible riding

What is advanced motorcycle training?

RoSPA's four day advanced motorcycle training course instructs riders in the theory and practice of safe systems of deliberate, responsible and exemplary riding. This four-day course prepares riders for RoSPA's nationally recognised Advanced Motorcycle Test.

Why take advanced motorcycle training?

Advanced motorcycle riders are proven to be safer riders. Advanced motorcycle training will therefore reduce your accident risk and exposure to vehicle damage, in turn resulting in cheaper fleet insurance.

A recognised advanced motorcycle qualification will also boost both morale and company image. Advanced motorcycle riders' skilled techniques also result in long-term lower costs by keeping fuel consumption and motorbike wear and tear to a minimum.

Who is advanced motorcycle training for?

This four-day course is ideal for anyone preparing for the RoSPA Advanced Motorcycle Test.

What does advanced motorcycle training cover?

During this practical advanced motorcycle training, delegates will learn a systems approach to pre-use motorcycle checks. They will also come to understand the effect of human factors, such as attitude and fatigue on performance.

The course will focus on developing a systematic and defensive approach to hazard management and risk reduction, including improved observations and awareness of potential road risks, in preparation for the RoSPA Advanced Motorcycle Test.

In order to obtain a high grade, riders will need a good knowledge of the current editions of The Highway Code and Motorcycle Roadcraft.

The course runs on a 3:1 delegate to trainer ratio.

Where can I take advanced motorcycle training?

This four-day on-road course is delivered at clients' premises, or at a mutually convenient location.
