Presentation ceremony

We look forward to welcoming you to one of our awards ceremonies. Any number of guests are welcome to attend the daytime presentations, allowing all who have contributed to the organisation's achievements to celebrate their success. Informal seating will be available allowing supporters to watch proceedings, whilst the nominated person is presented with the award. A cash bar will be available serving drinks and light refreshments.

Timing is critical to the smooth running of the ceremony and we would therefore make the following recommendations:

Jon Culshaw is regarded as the best impressionist in the UK. His own series "The Impressionable Jon Culshaw" was broadcast on ITV1 and he has received rave reviews for the BBC 2 TV series 'Dead Ringers' that ran for seven years.

In 2017, he is set to preview his new tour 'The Great British Take off', also featuring Dead Ringers creator and producer Bill Dare, in his home of Ormskirk.

'Dead Ringers' transferred from Radio 4 to television but enjoys equal success as a Radio 4 ongoing series. On television this programme has won the Best Political Satire Award at the Political Studies Association Awards 2004 and on radio it has won the British Comedy Award for Best Radio Comedy, the Sony Gold Radio Academy Award and the Broadcasting Press Guild Award for Best Radio Programme. This year will see the radio series going into its tenth series.

The unique format of 'Alter Ego' was commissioned by ITV and to date has enjoyed three specials. This is Jon's own impressionist show in which he interviews celebrities as themselves.

Other television credits include 2DTV, The National Music Awards, The Royal Variety Performance, They Think its All Over, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Spitting Image where he provided the voices to over forty characters. Jon has a catalogue of an estimated 350 impressions ranging from Brian Cox to Barack Obama.

Thursday 13th July - Rory Bremner

Rory Bremner

From pop star to political pundit, Scottish-born satirist Rory Bremner is one of the UKs most popular impressionists, comedians and awards hosts.

Over two decades ago, Rory put on a duffel coat and performed his first public impression. Since then, he has spiralled, after a number of years on the circuit, he made it big and starred in his first BBC series 'Now For Something Else', a variety sketch show where he impersonated Sean Connery and Terry Wogan.

While the frenetic funny man may be best recognised for his regular cameo on 'Whose Line is It Anyway?', his wicked impressions of Tony Blair and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have landed him in popular one-man shows and on BBC news and comedy spots like 'Mock the Week', and 'They Think It's All Over'.

Rory is widely rated as Britain's sharpest impressionist – a one-man opposition party – his Channel Four show Bremner, Bird & Fortune won several awards as the best TV satire.

Rory is one of the UK's best loved comedians, impressionists and awards hosts.
