Business Driver Safety Seminar

The Journey Starts at the Home

Thursday, January 31, 2019 – The Heath Conference Centre, Runcorn

The Cheshire Road Safety Group (CRSG) aims to reduce the number of people killed or injured on Cheshire roads . Partnership members are the 4 Local Authorities in Cheshire, Cheshire Police, Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service and Highways England.

Are you passionate about road safety? Do you want to hear from the very best road safety experts? If the answer is yes, then you’ll want to attend our upcoming event:

  • Key guidance from a range of road safety experts
  • Put your questions to our speakers
  • Mock trial – Find out what happens following a fatal collision
  • Keep up to date with current legislation of driving for work practices and road safety topics
  • Plus case studies, practical advice and find out how to engage further with the Road Safety Partnership

The event will also include a Mock Trial. This will show what could happen in a real life court case where a commercial business is being prosecuted. The case will focus on the consequences of having an inadequate road safety driving for work policy in place. The trial will follow, as closely as possible, to current UK court proceedings, using real life characters for key roles.

This is part of a programme of work to support businesses lower collision rates while driving for work. This has a host of benefits including cheaper insurance premiums, reduced sick leave for staff and enhanced business reputation.
