Young Workers

Whether through lack of training, knowledge, or simply down to having less experience, it’s a tragic fact that young workers are statistically more likely to be injured at work than those who have been on the job for years. For apprentices, those on work experience, or people new to work, the risk of being seriously hurt – or worse – is real.

That’s why RoSPA has adopted a ‘whole person, whole life’ approach to health and safety. This means businesses engaging with their employees, recognising that we have one body and one mind that has to sustain us over time – through childhood, into school, onto work and as we move into retirement. Sustainable working lives have to become a priority for us all.

With that in mind, we’ve put together a range of potentially lifesaving information to ensure that young workers make it home safely at the end of their working day. Whether you’re a young worker or an employer, click on the button below to find out how you or your workers can stay safe.
