Education

RoSPA not only has a catalogue of products relating to the education sector, but also a suite of courses that meet all of the safety and health needs of this sector.

As a leading voice in health and safety, RoSPA has used its vast experience to develop its range of training courses and delivery methods.

IOSH work placement assessors

The course is intended for all those in the education sector, Learning and Skills Council, education business partnerships and other organisations who arrange, monitor or administer work experience placements.

DSE Assessors and ergonomic principles

Display screen equipment assessments are not only a legal requirement; done properly they can actually help combat the musculoskeletal disorders, reduced concentration levels and other ill-health effects that are symptomatic of time spent at poorly designed workstations. This course now places a greater emphasis on ergonomic principles, postural assessment and the practical application of theory. It uses a risk-assessment based approach.

Fire risk assessment

Following the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, it is now compulsory for companies to conduct a Fire Risk Assessment.

As an employer, or as someone who has control of a workplace, it is essential to put in place 'suitable and sufficient fire risk assessments'. This two-day course has been designed with the advice of a senior fire professional specifically to help you comply with these laws.
