This course aims to teach delegates the necessary skills to assess the driving ability of others within their organisation. It will train delegates to become advanced drivers.
Upon completion of this course, delegates should be competent in the following areas:
This course has been developed using the GDE Matrix (Goals for Driver Education). It will enable delegates to positively change driver behaviour within their organisation by taking responsibility for assessing and offering feedback to drivers
Delegates will gain an understanding of the human factors that contribute to the occupational road risk that drivers are exposed to
The delegates' ability to assess and mentor will be assessed through scenario based practical assessments
Upon successful completion of this course, Driving Mentors/Assessors will receive certification demonstrating that they have passed the RoSPA Occupational Advanced Driving Test.
Please note: Only registered DVSA Fleet Driver Trainers are permitted to provide in-vehicle driver training. All feedback and mentoring skills developed via this course are designed to be administered within classroom scenarios only. This training course will not permit delegates to administer in-vehicle driver training, and it is not a train the trainer course.
