RoSPA Level 3 Award for Manual Handling Trainers
Providing you with the knowledge and skills to train others in the workplace
What is the Manual Handling Train the Trainer course?
This 3 day Manual Handling Train the Trainer course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to train others in your workplace on manual handling and will enable you to provide suitable and sufficient training that meets legislative requirements and current best practice.
Why take the Manual Handling Train the Trainer course?
Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (MHOR) (as amended 2002) require employers to assess the risks to employees' health involved in moving and handling objects at work and to remove or minimise these risks. The regulations set out how your organisation must deal with risks from manual handling such as:
- Employees should avoid hazardous manual handling
- Assess the risk of injury from any hazardous manual handling operations that cannot be avoided
- Reduced the risk of injury from hazardous manual handling to as low as reasonably practicable.
Having a manual handling trainer can help your organisation conform to this law and minimise the incidence of MSDs in your organisation which are associated with poor manual handling and are the most commonly reported type of work-related ill health. In addition, the skills and techniques learnt will ensure you have a healthier workforce that is not suffering with pain resulting from manual handling injury.
Who is the Manual Handling Train the Trainer course for?
This course is designed for managers, supervisors, safety advisors or any individual who has responsibility to deliver manual handling training to the workforce.
