COSHH Training

Protecting your workforce from exposure to harmful substances

What is a COSHH assessment?

Exposure to harmful working conditions can result in fatal diseases - such as asbestosis which claim the lives of 13,000 people per year. Most businesses will at some point use substances or products that could cause harm to employees, contractors and other people.

By following the COSHH Regulations, companies can save money and be more effective by reducing absenteeism and not having to replace trained workers. The best way to get a full understanding of what is and isn't covered by COSHH is to undergo appropriate training.

Our one-day Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) training course is suitable for employees in all industry sectors. It covers the basics of identifying, measuring and controlling exposure to harmful substances.

This COSHH training is ideal for anyone with responsibility for storing, using, handling or transporting hazardous substances, particularly those involved with manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport, utilities or offices.

When is a COSHH assessment required?

You need a COSHH assessment whenever you are using, creating or producing a substance within your workplace that is hazardous to health.

"Diseases linked with exposure to hazardous chemicals can be prevented with an understanding of COSHH. This can provide a systematic approach to managing and reducing the potential for people being harmed at work."
