‘Safety First and Always’ is a guiding principle that we strongly believe in and follow in everything we do. As the world’s largest aluminium smelter outside China, we are committed to meeting the highest international standards, especially when it comes to ensuring the safety and health of our people.
We are proud to have this long-standing association with RoSPA, one of the leading organisations in the field of Occupational Safety and Health. Receiving the RoSPA Gold Medal Award for the past eight consecutive years is a true reflection of the diligent efforts exerted by our people – both employees and contractors’ workers – in the pursuit of safety excellence and we thank them for never giving safety a day off even in light of COVID-19 pandemic challenges.
Sponsor of the Fall Prevention Trophy
Fall prevention is a current key campaign for RoSPA, as the single largest cause of not just major workplace injuries, but also accidental injury in the home. The Fall Prevention Trophy seeks to draw on best practice and showcase innovation around fall prevention, both by selecting a high-performer as the overall trophy winner, and also sharing advice and learning on the subject with the wider awards community as part of the selection process. This learning and showcasing of best practice will take the form of a special Webinar – due to take place in April, at which those organisations shortlisted for the trophy will share their ideas, ahead of an interactive vote, which will input into the selection of the overall trophy winner.
