Mandatory powers

• RoSPA believes that a statutory duty should be placed on local authorities to promote Home Safety.
• The duty should positively encourage inter-agency working and involvement with voluntary bodies.
• Shared funding posts should be encouraged.
• RoSPA supports NICE Guidance Recommendation 2: Coordinating unintentional injury prevention activities - Ensure there is a child and young person injury prevention coordinator.¹
