What is the Safer people handling trainers refresher course?

This 2 day accredited handling people course for existing Level 3 Safer People Handling Trainers aims to update and further develop knowledge and skills by introducing them to new theories and practices relating to the subject area of safer people handling practices and training.

Who is the Safer people handling trainers refresher course for?

Delegates must have completed the RoSPA Level 3 Award in for Safer People Handling Trainers qualification. The refresher course will be kept up-to-date whenever there is a change in work practices, resulting in the introduction of a new system of work related to people handling, or use of equipment to handle loads.

How often should moving and handling training be updated?

There is no set requirement, however the HSE recommends that moving and handling refresher courses are undertaken annually and provided at intervals of no more than every three years.

"The tutor’s knowledge and skills were passed on in a friendly and supportive manner, taking the time to answer questions and back this up with real life examples. He even made the course interesting and I learned and retained lots and lots to pass on to my delegates."
