Ecovert FM is a Facilities Management company offering a full range of self-delivered Facilities Management services to its clients. Ecovert FM's senior health and safety manager, Steven Browne, describes the company's attitude to health and safety matters.
Of particular interest was the IOSH Managing Safely course, together with the IOSH Supervisors and Safety Representatives course.
This training ensures that there is a top-down and bottom-up approach to health and safety within the organisation and is oneway of raising general awareness of health and safety within Ecovert FM.
"As an employer, health and safety is seen as an essential part of all aspects of the business and is given full support by the board of directors. With this in mind, the company identified a need for bespoke professional training aimed at directors, managers, supervisors, safety representatives, and frontline staff."

The training also ensures that health and safety is a regular item at all meetings, not just at safety committees. It is hoped that over time it will enable us to reduce our insurance costs, due to ever-improving accident figures.
We chose RoSPA as the training provider because one of our senior health and safety managers had worked with them in the past and had always found them to be very professional and to have the gravitas that the company requires of its trainers.
