Total Qualification Time (TQT): 7 hours
Guided Learning Hours (GLH): 6 hours

Tutors and assessors must hold the RoSPA Qualifications Level 3 for Manual Handling Trainers or the Level 3 Award for Safer People Handling Trainers (or equivalents) or hold a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety / NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety and have extensive experience in delivering Manual Handling training.

Assessments for this qualification are devised by the centre and internally marked. They will be sampled as part of our quality assurance procedures.

RoSPA Qualifications can assist centres in developing their assessment methods and course materials if required.

Manual handling is the most common cause of lost-time injuries in the workplace. This level 3 qualification raises awareness of the risks and the controls available. It will provide formal recognition of the learners' competence in safe moving and handling.
