NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety

A ‘must-have’ for the construction industry

What is the NEBOSH Construction Certificate?

The NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety is firmly established as a leading health and safety qualification for the UK construction industry.

Why take the NEBOSH Construction Certificate?

In 2018, there was an estimated 82,000 work-related ill health cases in the construction industry. Join the 20,000 holders of the NEBOSH Construction Certificate worldwide, who are helping to reduce this figure by saving the lives of their colleagues and members of the public.

Holders of the NEBOSH Certificate in Construction are able to identify, evaluate and control a wide range of construction workplace hazards. The qualification encourages a pragmatic approach to managing risk and covers the main legal requirements for health and safety in the UK, including an understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

Many employers in construction and other related industries, such as utilities, find that the National Construction Certificate can improve the safety culture of their organisation. It provides a sound understanding of the principles of risk management.

NEBOSH Construction Certificate holders can also apply for technical membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (Tech IOSH). Many students then progress to the NEBOSH National Diploma (Grad IOSH) and from there to chartered status (CMIOSH).
